What inspired you to start your business?
I believe no one has a perfect life and as much as everyone tries to avoid drama it is all around us. So I enjoy writing and reading adult African American romance drama. I find it relatable in so many ways. This is why I wrote my series to share a story that many Black Woman can relate too.
What do you love about being a Black Woman Business Owner?
We are DOPE, lol. I love the sisterhood, connections and support from other dope black business owners. It keeps me inspired to be surrounded by all this greatness.
What are the biggest obstacles you see for Black Women Business Owners?
FEAR- no one wants to fail, no one wants to put out a bad product but I've learned there is a market for it all, so no need to fear. My book series isn't for everyone but it's for someone and I had great success from it once I removed the FEAR.
How do you define success?
It's feeling accomplished at all the stages in ones life. I consider myself a successful black woman, not by the amount of money I make but by the impact I have on my own life and the life of others. I give 100% in all I do and people see my passion so this (in my mind) makes me successful.
How do you start your day?
On 100... I am so grateful to see another day so I don't complain or take the new day for granted.
If you had reset button to start all over, what would you do differently? Why?
Of course but since I can't, I've learned to see my past as a lesson or a blessing. It has made me ME and I am stronger because of this.
